Simon Cowell is apparently confident that Britain's Got Talent will triumph over The Voice 2013 in the ratings this year.
BGT will kick off its auditions in few weeks on Saturday nights, going head to head to with the The Voice UK.
Last weekend saw The Voice's return to BBC One, but the show was beaten by ITV in the ratings with Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway securing more viewers.
And Simon wasted no time in gloating, writing on Twitter last night: "Congrats boys in beating that other singing show in the ratings."
The music mogul added today: “Ant and Dec beat them on Saturday and we’ll do everything we can to keep in pole position. We did it last year and we are keen to win again this year.
“May the best show win — as long as it’s ours!”
A source told The Sun newspaper today: “Simon was thrilled.
"He thinks if he can put the boot into The Voice now it will help BGT when it launches and give a boost to The X Factor when it returns in the summer.
“His biggest fear is people seeing The Voice as a replacement for The X Factor. He’ll do anything to stop that.”
Auditions for Britain’s Got Talent 2013 will air on ITV this month, with David Walliams tweeting that the launch date was currently set for April 13.
Meanwhile the BGT live show finalists short list will be revealed in May, with the live shows reportedly set for the first week of June.
