The Irish music mogul is reportedly begging boss Simon Cowell to let him take charge of this year's winner, after his band Westlife split up last year.
Poor Louis has been left with few acts to manage, with his girlband Wonderland also parting ways after their first album.
A supposed source told the Daily Star Sunday today: "Louis is looking at a big pay day if he can get this tied up.
“Louis’ management company has a huge void to fill now with the absence of Westlife.”
It's fair to say that Louis can be a hit and a miss when it comes to managing acts.
While he's had some huge successes in the forms of Westlife, Boyzone and, bizarrely, Jedward, there's also been tales of incompetence.
Louis famously fell out with his former fellow X Factor judge Cheryl Cole after she and her Girls Aloud bandmates sacked him as their manager.
Cheryl blasted: "We never had management. Louis claimed to be our manager but he never did it.
"We didn’t talk to him or anything like that. He just took a cheque."
And Louis himself confessed: “They were all a bit scary. Generally, girls don’t like each other. That’s the problem. I couldn’t help them with their hair, makeup, all those things."
Let's hope it's not a girl group winning Britain's Got Talent this year...
