An ill Simon Cowell did finally turn up to Britain's Got Talent 2013 auditions yesterday, after missing earlier try outs.
The music mogul opted to skip some of the latest try outs in Manchester after suffering from a migraine, and put David Walliams in charge.
The comedian tweeted yesterday: "Apparently we are starting BGT auditions without my Simon today. He isn't well. I wish I could be there to nurse him or give him a bed-bath."
Auditions continued as normal with just David, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden on the panel and it seemed that the trio got rather relaxed without Simon joining them.
Although David was seemingly over the moon when Simon returned to the panel for the evening's session.
He wrote to his followers online: "My Simon's here...! So happy. x"
But Simon's return wasn't before Amanda and Alesha got a bit too used to not having Simon around, as they lounged around with slippers!
When Simon was back on the panel it seemed that his illness had left him rather easy to please, telling one act: "I loved the choreography, you're really cool, I loved you"
However it wasn't long until the he returned to his normal self, bitching to another wannabe: "It was funny for a minute. I mean... is THAT your act?"
Meanwhile, Amanda and David both felt they had found the champion in the city.
Amanda tweeted: "Thank you Manchester!! Ta-ra!! I honestly think we found our winner in this city!! X"
With David adding: "Me too. x"
The show will return to ITV on Saturday nights in the Spring.
