Britain's Got Talent 2013 judge Simon Cowell has been riding on a booster seat to help make him look taller.
The music mogul, who's known for his stacked heeled shoes, was spotted at the try outs sitting on top of a three inch cushion.
And members of the audience at the auditions in Scotland this week were quick to mock Simon for the trick, with one saying: “He’s a small man – but with a big opinion and a big personality. It’s Simon to a tee.
"It wouldn’t surprise me if he had a fan down there keeping his feet warm.”
Another audience member said: “I think he’s got the booster seat not because of David but because he wants to look bigger than the girls.”
She added: “When we spotted Simon’s chair we were in stitches and lots of people were talking about it.
"He looks like the big boss in the big chair but, in fact, he’s sitting on a booster seat.”
However a spokesperson for Simon insisted that the cushion wasn't to help make him look taller but was just for comfort.
The spokesman said: “It’s not to make him look taller, it’s just a cushion he uses from time to time.”
Britain's Got Talent 2013 auditions continue this weekend in Manchester.
