The Britain's Got Talent 2013 judges have been confirmed and Simon Cowell is back!
After a hugely successful series in 2012, the same team reunite with multi-award winning Ant & Dec as hosts, while Simon is joined again by Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams for the show that puts a smile on the nation’s face.
In a thrilling finale to the 2012 series, Simon’s dream of a dancing dog emerging victorious came true when Ashleigh & Pudsey were crowned the winners.
Since their win in May which was watched by a peak of 14.5 million viewers, the talented duo have performed in front of Her Majesty The Queen at the Royal Variety Performance, appeared on America’s Got Talent, been guests on The Jay Leno Show and Pudsey has even penned (or pawed) his autobioDOGraphy. The duo will also appear in a Christmas Pantomime.
From a series that was packed with outstanding talent, Britain’s Got Talent runners-up Jonathan & Charlotte have seen their debut album go Gold; Only Boys Aloud have just released their first album; and group the Loveable Rogues are currently putting the finishing touches to their initial release.
Simon Cowell said today: “I loved doing the show last year, the new panel worked really well and I’m very happy they have all agreed to come back. Last year was a special year for talent and I hope that in 2013, off the back of an amazing year for Britain, we find another global star.”
Amanda Holden added: “I’m thrilled to be back on Britain’s Got Talent. It’s the best fun ever and I love it! I'm not even going to try to be cool about the fact that I'm back! I'm over the moon!”
Meanwhile Alesha Dixon said she was happy to be back for her second series.
She said: “We had an incredible series in what has been a fantastic year for Great Britain, the talent blew us all away and I can't wait to see what delights neat year brings.”
And David Walliams, who was also a new addition to the panel last year, remarked: “My Simon and I are going to be together again. I’m delighted to confirm I will be a judge on Britain’s Got Talent again next year. I am so happy I could cry.”
Fresh from their time in the I'm A Celebrity jungle, Ant and Dec were also glad to announce their return.
Dec revealed: “Simon was the happiest I have ever seen him when Ashleigh and Pudsey won! I’m not sure we’ll ever see him as happy again – so that’s the challenge Great Britain, show us what you've got!”
Auditions for the new series begin filming next month.
