According to The Sun, Martin has been "glued" to the current series of the show and now wants to take part in the celeb series.
The new run of Celebrity Big Brother starts next Wednesday and will run for just over 3 weeks.
Martin is no stranger to reality telly, having taken part in ITV1's 71 Degrees North earlier this year.
The 50-year-old is expected to be joined by fellow soap stars Julie Goodyear and Cheryl Ferigson in the house when the new series launches.
Simon Cowell’s ex Jasmine Lennard, camp comic Julian Clary and rapper MC Harvey are all also on the list.
Models Rhian Sugden and Danica Thrall, Dog The Bounty Hunter star Duane Chapman and journalist Samantha Brick are rumoured to be completing the line up.
Celebrity Big Brother starts on Wednesday on Channel 5.
