The search for this year's Big Brother housemates kicked off yesterday as auditions got underway in Cardiff.
The show's producers are on the hunt for another batch of wannabes to sling into the house this summer, and hundreds turned up to the Millennium Stadium in Wales yesterday for the chance to try out.
One potential housemate was Matthew Johnson, who described herself as a “flamboyant, openly gay cross-dresser” and asked to be referred to as “she”.
The 19-year-old told WalesOnline: “I want to fall in love and I want to find my Ken – I need Ken to fix my Barbie necklace. Nigella Lawson is my idol and I want to have my own television programme.”
And despite bosses saying they were after young and attractive housemates, many older hopefuls turned up to try and change the producer's minds.
The Big Brother audition process saw the fame-hungry contestants take part in a mock diary room session, as well as the typical group activities and tasks.
Open auditions for the show will continue in Manchester, London and Glasgow ahead of the return of the series in the summer.
