While we weren’t huge fans of the idea, this week’s shock nomination twist helped boost Big Brother ratings it’s been revealed. Both Wednesday and Thursday's episodes attracted 1.4 million viewers, well up on previous weeks.
And it's close to double the miserable 800,000 figure seen on Saturday night.
The news is sure to encourage show bosses, as the series draws to a close, with a final set for Friday, November 11.
Channel 5 signed the contract for two years, meaning the show will definitely be back next summer – in one form or another - but its future thereafter looks uncertain.
