Mohamed Al-Fayed to become Celebrity Big Brother's billionaire lodger

Brian Dowling

Brian Dowling revealed on last night's latest Celebrity Big Brother live show that the house would be seeing a "billionaire lodger" over the weekend. According to the Daily Star the mysterious new housemate is Mohamed Al-Fayed, who'll be entering the house on a revenge mission.

The billionaire businessman, who previously owned London department store Harrods, will challenge paparazzo housemate Darryn Lyons over his treatment of his son Dodi and Princess Diana.

The tabloid suggests Al-Fayed still blames photographers for the death of his son and Diana in the 1997 car crash in Paris.

And the Egyptian-born entrepreneur, who was on Channel 5's celebrity housemate wish list, is angry over exclusive photographs of Princess Diana and Dodi Al-Fayad supposedly leaked by 'Mr Paparazzi' Darryn Lyons.

"I’m going into the Big Brother house to serve up quite a few surprises," he told the newspaper

"This will be a real shocker, another Fright Night. Darryn may have many celebrity friends in the world but he also has a lot of enemies. Let’s just say that Al Fayed knows of him, what he has done and isn’t his biggest admirer," a source added.

Other celebrities are expected to enter the house for short stays over the next three weeks.

The twist will be shown in tomorrow night's show on Channel 5 at 10PM.
