As owner of one of the world's biggest paparazzi companies, Darryn Lyons may find it hard being on the other side of the cameras if he joins the Celebrity Big Brother house later this week. The Big Pictures owner, and self confessed Big Brother fanatic, is the latest name to be linked to the show.
The red haired Aussie born business man is no stranger to reality TV, having taken part in a BBC Three series which followed his company and the work of the paparazzi as they hunted down celebs for pictures.
And the media mogul also acted as one of the Dragons on the Aussie version of BBC Two hit series Dragons Den, although the show only lasted for a single series down under.
Darryn has been a big part of Big Brother over the years, often giving his usually controversial views on spin-offs including Big Brother’s Little Brother and Big Mouth, as well as being rumoured to have signed up for Celebrity Big Brother back in 2006.
Now working on online gossip website Mr Paparazzi, the house could be the perfect place to get some exclusive stories... or maybe just make a quick pile of cash!
Meanwhile the Daily Star Sunday claim that Darryn has donated £10k of his appearance fee to victims of the England 2011 riots.
They quote him as saying: "It was an incredible shock to see destruction and London burning like that."
He added: “It would be great if the other housemates donated more money so we can help these deserving people.”
Other stars in the line up include 80s R&B star Bobby Brown, X Factor twins Jedward and US actress Tara Reid.
A Channel 5 spokesman said last night: “Big Brother execs are in talks with a number of stars about appearing on the series but we’re not confirming any names at the moment.”
