Eastenders star Sid Owen has reportedly agreed to a "last-minute deal" to take part in Celebrity Big Brother 2011 from next week. According to the Daily Star the actor, who played Ricky Butcher in the BBC One soap, is set to have a tough time in the house surrounded by sexy celebs.
Sid, who is currently engaged, will enter next Thursday when the reality show kicks off for the first time on Channel 5. He'll be joined by the likes of Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and TOWIE babe Amy Childs on the eighth series of the hit programme.
A show source told the tabloid today: “Poor Sid. It’s every man’s dream to be surrounded by such beauties but he’s going to have to keep his hands off them.
“It will make I’m A Celebrity seem like a walk in the park.”
Sid, who is currently on a break from the soap, previously finished third in ITV's I’m A Celebrity... in 2005
Meanwhile other stars tipped to enter the famous house include The Hoff’s ex-Wife Pamela Bach, X Factor duo Jedward, Kerry Katona and her mum, Sue, Sally Bercow, and - we can only hope - Charlie Sheen.
A Channel 5 spokesman would only say: “Big Brother execs are in talks with a number of celebrities about appearing on the Channel 5 series but we’re not confirming any names at the moment.”
Celebrity Big Brother 2011 starts on Channel 5 on August 18 at 9PM.
