Brian Dowling has said he is nervous ahead of his debut as Big Brother host next month. The former Big Brother winner told Star magazine this week however that he thinks it'll be easier stepping into Davina's shoes than anyone eles's!
The 33-year-old, who was revealed as the show's new presenter alongside Emma Willis last week, told the magazine he hesitated in accepting the offer two weeks ago.
"It was so hugely successful and I am following in the footsteps of an iconic presenter," Brian said.
"I think with everything there are pitfalls, but the show works, I have been on it before and the fact that it is moving to a different channel makes it easier.
"I've also presented live telly before, the only problem is viewers might go: "He's s**t!"
But the Irish housemate suggested following Davina of all people could make things easier for him.
"I think what makes it easier is that I know [Davina] and she's been so supportive. There is a lot of love there; she is a role model. On Ultimate Big Brother, the final shot was of me and Davina, so it was like she was passing me the baton."
Brian makes his debut as the new Big Brother host on August 17 on Channel 5.
