Big Brother 2011 is set to become one of the most hi-tech reality shows in TV history, the Daily Star Sunday has claimed. The newspaper, which shares an owner with Channel 5, says viewers "won’t miss a thing" on the new series when it kicks off next month with Celebrity Big Brother.
According to the tabloid, show bosses have completely replaced the camera technology in the house as well as setting up a new edit suit in order to ensure a top quality show for fans.
"The team have gone all-out to make sure the show is going to work like clockwork and capture every moment so viewers won’t miss a thing," a show source revealed. "Everything is in place for a great series and the technology being used is amazing.
"Airing the show in HD has meant replacing a lot of equipment but no expense was spared to make sure it was all top notch.
"With all the new cameras and hi-tech edit suites, there’s no doubt Big Brother is now the most advanced show on TV."
Another addition to this year's series is a 'sound-proof' fence, built in order to make sure the new bunch of housemates won't hear any chants from the outside world like in previous shows.
"So many times in the past housemates have heard chants from the crowd about who viewers want out, which ruins it But this year they will have no idea what’s going on," the source said.
The news comes as Channel 5 start airing teasers for the new show, featuring the brand new Big Brother 2011 eye.
Celebrity Big Brother is expected to start on August 17.
