Ryan Thomas has revealed he was offered therapy by Celebrity Big Brother bosses after this year's series.
It was Ryan Thomas who won Celebrity Big Brother's last ever series earlier this year, beating Kirstie Alley in the final vote.
The series ended up being dominated by Ryan and Roxanne Pallett's 'punchgate' scandal that saw Roxanne accuse Ryan of being 'violent' towards her.
She went on to walk out of the house over the incident before apologising on TV to Ryan during an interview with CBB host Emma Willis.
Ryan has now revealed that following the show he was offered support of professional counselling by Big Brother producers.
"The show gives you that option and they look after you in that sense. I’m quite level headed and I’ve got a good family around me, and network of friends that look after me. I didn’t feel that was necessary," he said.
In the wake of Roxanne's actions, Ryan told the Daily Mirror newspaper he was happy to finally get out of the house and return to his "safe place".
he happiest moment for me was getting out and being with my family and friends.
“That’s my safe place. It’s the best feeling in the world.
“Being in an enclosed environment for three weeks, and then being reunited with your daughter, your brothers, your mum and dad, that was the highlight for me.”
Following the scenes on the show earlier this year, Roxanne branded herself the 'most hated girl in Britain'.
In a chat after his victory, Ryan said he was happy to forgive the former soap actress.
He said: "I think Roxanne has been through a lot. CBB makes headlines and sometimes for the wrong reasons. It's time we look forward. She's suffering enough. I don't want to be part of it...
"If she [Roxanne] wants sort of forgiveness and it makes her feel better then I would rather give her that because I think she's been punished enough by the public and the people around her."
