Brian Dowling hopes Big Brother experience will give him advantage as host

Brian Dowling has said he is absolutely "chuffed" to be hosting the new Big Brother on Channel 5, saying he hopes his experience in the house will mak him a good presenter for the show. Speaking to the Daily Star, Brian added he couldn't wait to get started.

The new series starts next month on Channel 5 with a celebrity version.

Brian, who previously won Big Brother 2 back in 2001, said: "I’m am so excited. When they told me I was like: ‘Oh my God! Are you sure?’ I’m just so chuffed. It was about two months of talks and going back and forth, they told me about two weeks ago and I had to keep it a secret.


"But that was a good chance for me to let it sink in."

The reality star, who also won Ultimate Big Brother last year, has prevouisly hosted shows such as SM:TV Live, The Mint and The Salon.

"I hope my experience in the show will give me an advantage, Brain told the newspaper this morning. "I am just so excited about this opportunity to host one of the most talked-about shows on TV."

He continued: "I’m such a huge fan and I don’t think you can get much better than presenting it. I’m going to be able to meet and interview all the contestants and see how it all works behind the scenes.

"I can’t wait to see how it works in the Diary Room," Brian added.

Emma Willis will join Brian in providing coverage for the show, with the brunette beauty hosting new spin-off Big Brother's Bit On The Side.
