Noel Edmonds for Celebrity Big Brother line up this summer?

TV presenter Noel Edmonds has become one of the latest names tipped for Celebrity Big Brother.

The telly host, who fronted Channel 4 game show Deal Or No Deal is said to be on a wish list of stars for the upcoming series.

"Noel is one of the most recognisable faces on the box," a source said this weekend. “He’s been a household name for decades and producers know he is someone who viewers will be interested in."

They told the Daily Star newspaper: “He isn’t someone who can be easily convinced to do a reality show, but they’re doing their best to get him to sign on the dotted line.”

Noel isn't the only TV presenter linked for CBB this summer.

Amanda Byram, who has fronted BBC One's Total Wipeout and Dancing with the Stars in Ireland, is also said to have signed up.

Tory MP Nadine Dorries, who appeared on I'm A Celebrity in 2012, is another rumoured name.

“Normally everything would be finalised by now," a source said of line up negotiations. “But for this series they are prepared to keep negotiating for as long as possible to get the best results they can.”

Channel 5 confirmed the first details of the new series last week, announcing an 'Eye Of The Storm' theme.

They explained: "All of the celebrity names entering the house will have been caught up in their own media storm. And now, the celebrities are once again putting themselves in the public eye and this time they have a lot to prove."

Other names linked to the Celebrity Big Brother 2018 cast already include headline grabbing footballer Jermaine Pennant and Kieran Hayler, the estranged husband of former Celebrity Big Brother winner herself Katie Price.

More of the names rumoured are Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley and American porn actress Stormy Daniels, who is currently at the centre of controversy surrounding president Donald Trump.

Yet more celebs tipped for the Celebrity Big Brother 2018 line up this summer include Celebs Go Dating's Charlotte Dawson, X Factor and Ex On The Beach's Casey Johnson, TOWIE's Pete Wicks, Corrie's Ryan Thomas and TV presenter John Leslie.

The Celebrity Big Brother launch date is currently rumoured (but not yet officially confirmed) for Friday, August 17.
