Celebrity Big Brother 2018 bosses 'wooing' Meghan Markle's sister Samantha Grant

Channel 5 chiefs think she'd be "ideal" for show's rumoured scandal theme

Celebrity Big Brother summer 2018 bosses are apparently targeting Meghan Markle's half-sister Samantha Grant as a potential housemate for the Channel 5 show.

Samantha has become a polarising figure in the media thanks to her forthright opinions of the Duchess of Sussex, with whom she shares a father.

The 53-year-old frequently criticised Meghan in the run-up to her wedding with Prince Harry last month.

She even wrote an autobiography originally titled 'The Diary Of Princess Pushy's Sister', although it has since been renamed.

Never ones to shy away from controversy, Celebrity Big Brother bosses are now said to have Samantha in their sights.

The next series of the reality show, airing later this summer, will reportedly have a 'scandal' theme.

According to the Daily Star, C5 are eager to persuade Samantha to sign up in the hope she'd pull big ratings.

Producers supposedly believe she "won’t be able to stop herself talking about" Meghan in the fly-on-the-wall house.

"The theme for this summer’s CBB series is understood to be ‘Scandal’ so Sam is ideal for this," a source commented.

Samantha isn't the only headline-grabber who has been linked to Celebrity Big Brother.

Last month it was claimed that C5 had made a £750,000 offer to Stormy Daniels, the porn star involved in a legal dispute with US President Donald Trump.

However, her lawyer Michael Avenatti insisted she has "no interest" in taking part.

This summer's Big Brother run has been delayed to avoid clashing with arch rival and ratings smash Love Island.

The show would normally begin in June with a 'civilian' series, followed by the Celebrity version shortly after.

However, a rumoured scheduling swap means CBB is now expected to start in mid-August, with the regular series from mid-September.
