Former Big Brother housemate Nikki Grahame has taken a swipe at one of the new Celebrity Big Brother housemates.
Last night saw the new series of CBB kick off with an all women line up of eight leading ladies.
30-year-old Ashley James was one of those to enter, although BB7 star Nikki wasn't impressed.
Ashley first rose to fame when she appeared on Made in Chelsea. Since then, she began concentrating on her music career as a DJ.
But watching on at home, Nikki tweeted: "Who did she s**g to get on here #CBBASHLEY"
She added: "Ashley doesn’t even know what she does herself."
The comment caused quite the bit of controversy, given CBB's 'women empowerment' theme.
"What a horrible thing to say..." reacted one Twitter user.
And another added: "What a way to show female empowerment Nikki... isn't really positive to be shaming her.. she got fame from a reality show.. sound familiar?"
Ahead of entering, Ashley said she felt strongly about female empowerment and while not new to celebrity dating, Ashley described herself as a ‘secret hopeless romantic’.
She said: “The thing that I’m looking forward to the most about Celebrity Big Brother is celebrating the year of the woman, celebrating our female history.
“I’m excited just to be in Celebrity Big Brother, it’s a show I’ve loved since I was young so to actually get to go in the diary room I’m sorry but I think that is the coolest thing ever.”
Celebrity Big Brother 2018 airs nightly on Channel 5.
Male celebrities will join the current cast from Friday.
