Big Brother narrator Marcus Bentley will miss tonight's live launch show.

The famous Geordie voice-over will be absent from this evening's all women opening episode.

Emma Willis will introduce an all female line up, joined by an all female audience.

It's strictly a male free zone, and that includes Marcus.

"This will the first #CBB launch I’ve watched from home! Can’t wait. 9pm Channel 5. #CBB," he tweeted.

However Marcus won't be away forever, assuring fans: "Just a one off for tonight."

The news follows the leaking of the apparent full starting Celebrity Big Brother 2018 cast.

Those ready for the launch are rumoured to be Boris Johnson's sister Rachel Johnson, model and Ex On The Beach star Jess Impiazzi, Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Malika Haqq, actress Amanda Barrie, ITV newsreader India Willoughby, former MP Ann Widdecombe and Made In Chelsea's Ashley James.

Show bosses have said that the women led series will be marking 100 years since women won the right to vote for the very first time.

A 'mystery non celebrity' will join them, reportedly former Detective Constable Maggie Oliver, known for her work investigating the Rochdale grooming scandal.

Celebrity Big Brother will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house together.

A number of male celebrities will join them later.

Rumoured men include US R&B star and Pony hitmaker Ginuwine, Love Island's Jonny Mitchell and The Apprentice candidate Andrew Brady.

Celebrity Big Brother 2018 launches tonight, January 2 at 9PM on Channel 5.
