Celebrity Big Brother 2018 will launch with a women only cast - and an audience full of females.

Tickets for next month's live launch show on January 2 are asking for women only to apply.

Ticket vendor Applause Store say: "This year, to celebrate 100 years since women won the vote, Celebrity Big Brother kicks off with an all-female house! To mark the occasion, we are looking for women to pack our launch night audience.

"We’re looking for females from all walks of life, all professions and with a diverse mix of interests! If you’re interested in joining our strong female audience then request your free tickets to join us now!"

Those in the audience outside the Big Brother house will witness a brand new line up of ladies enter the house live.

Channel 5 confirmed earlier this month that Celebrity Big Brother 2018 will begin with an all female cast and male celebrities will join later.

Show bosses have said that the women led show will be marking 100 years since women won the right to vote for the very first time.

Presented by Emma Willis, Celebrity Big Brother will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house together.

When the male celebrities join, the housemates will take part in a series of "entertaining tasks and hidden experiments".

They explained: “Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century.

“See what happens when women hold the power, as Celebrity Big Brother January 2018 is set to be celebratory, surprising and insightful.”

Celebrity Big Brother airs on Channel 5 from Tuesday, January 2.
