Today is the last chance for anyone wanting to apply for Big Brother 2011 on Channel 5 online to do so, with applications for the twelfth series of the hit reality show closing at 6PM this evening. If you can't make the deadline then don't fear, you can still turn up to any of the open auditions later this month, or cross your fingers for a golden ticket!
Around 120 golden tickets have been placed in wallets inside Saturday issues of the Daily Star and Tuesday issues of OK! magazine since May 21, and will continue to be available through until June 20.
Competition for the tickets - which allow the owner to skip the main audition process - is reportedly getting out of control. “I bought 56 copies of this Saturday’s Daily Star in the hope of finding a Big Brother Golden,” one wannabe said.
Another added: “I need to get this Golden Ticket. I must have bought about 50 newspapers by now.”
We told last month about how one addicted Big Brother fan had bought more than 200 copies of the paper - and still didn't get a ticket. “I had been looking forward to the competition. But people have beaten me to it and stolen the envelopes. I am very upset," he said. “But I guess it shows how desperate people are.”
You can apply online at BigBrotherAuditions.com. Open auditions take place in Manchester on June 10 and London on June 18.
