British singer turned tabloid sensation Amy Winehouse is reportedly preparing for her big comeback on Celebrity Big Brother 2011 on Channel 5. The Daily Star claims that the 'Back to Black' singer is currently "considering" an offer to enter the celebrity house this August.
The newspaper claims that the performer had been "sounded out" by producers, with a show insider blabbing: “Amy is definitely near the top of the show’s wish-list of potential housemates.”
A spokesperson for the 27-year-old, currently in London's Priory Clinic, said: “She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors’ advice.”
They added that Amy had “no plans at the moment ” to be a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother 2011.
Other 'celebrities' linked to the show include Radio 1Xtra DJ Tim Westwood, US rapper Snoop Dog, S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens and The Only Way is Essex babe Amy Childs.
