The new home of Big Brother Channel 5 has teamed up with programme makers Endemol to allow hopeful housemates to apply online this year, it appears. For Big Brother 11 auditions are looking set to take place on a completely brand new website in the hopes to regenerating the decade-old reality series.
The Endemol owned site over at BigBrotherAuditions.com tells Big Brother 11 wannabes:
For the latest information on how to apply to be on the show please come back to this site soon.
A source said: "Big Brother grew old on Channel 4 and on so Channel 5 are hoping to bring the show fully into the 21st century.
"Why waste time and money making people queue up for hours in the cold to audition? This opportunity will allow anyone to take part in the Big Brother audition process from the comfort of their own home. Hopefully it'll mean we'll see some different types of housemates instead of those just desperate enough to queue from the early hours."
Big Brother returns to Channel 5 in August for a celebrity series, while a 'normal' series will air straight after from September.
