Celebrity Big Brother's Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have announced they're expecting their first child.
Spencer revealed the news in a chat with American publication US Weekly.
He recalled Heidi telling him: “The look on her face, I can’t even describe it. She was literally glowing. I thought she was about to say she made muffins or banana bread,” he joked.
“Heidi said, ‘I’m pregnant’ and I was like, ‘Whoa, that’s way more exciting than banana bread’.”
The pair said that they conceived back in January with the baby due at the beginning of October.
Speidi had previously planned to try and start a family while in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Heidi was quoted by The Sun as saying ahead of the launch: “I am writing a coffee table wife type of book. It’s more like a fun project, something I enjoy doing, and then I’m getting ready to be a mom hopefully [in 2017].”
The blonde beauty admitted that it took Spencer some persuading to get on board with the idea.
She said: “You know, I had to pray to get my husband to even … agree to have a kid, and so this whole journey over the last few years … I have had to do.”
During their time on CBB, they went to Big Brother to ask for a pregnancy test.
A source previously claimed that Speidi were hoping to make an announcement to the house - and viewers - that Heidi was expecting their first child together.
However the test proved negative leaving the couple "gutted".
“Speidi were really hoping to get a positive result," the insider told the Daily Star newspaper earlier in 2017. “They knew it would make them the centre of attention and be great TV.”
The source added: “And of course there would be massive earning potential because fans would want to follow their journey to becoming parents for the first time.”
