Celebrity Big Brother 2017 bosses have reportedly axed one of the celebrities from this year's line up.
Jasmine Lennard has apparently been ditched from this month's show over 'offensive comments made on social media'.
Jasmine first appeared in the CBB house in 2012 - as well as taking part in 2015's Timebomb civilian series - and had been linked to this year's All Stars series.
It was reported last week that Lennard had been replaced by another former housemate, Jasmine Waltz, at the last minute.
“Jasmine [Lennard] is fuming after being dropped for the upcoming series of CBB," a source told The Sun newspaper.
It turns out that there may have been slightly more to Lennard's premature Celebrity Big Brother 2017 exit than just a change of mind from producers.
According to The Sun newspaper, show bosses dropped Lennard from the line up over alleged “Islamaphobic” and “transphobic” comments on her social media accounts.
But sources say she is now "locked in a legal battle" with the show after already signing a deal.
"Big Brother bosses were desperate to sign Jasmine and spent months courting her and upped their initial financial offer significantly," an insider claimed to the newspaper.
The source explained: “Finally she accepted their offer and was given the details about filming but then Big Brother did a complete 180 and said the offer was being retracted due to Islamaphobic and transphobic remarks.
“They’ve been asked countless times to clarify what exactly the remarks are but have refused."
And the insider added: “The show is locked in a legal battle with Jasmine who feels they are using the remarks as a scapegoat for another reason and that they should honour their agreement and pay the money.”
A spokesperson for the show declined to comment.
It's perhaps not too surprising that bosses are apparently keen to check over the social media messages from the cast after some controversial situations in the past.
