Danielle Armstrong 'ditched from Celebrity Big Brother 2017 line up'

Danielle Armstrong has supposedly been cut from the Celebrity Big Brother 2017 line up.

It comes just a days after the reality star quit TOWIE amid rumours she'll be one of the 'new stars' in next month's latest series of Celebrity Big Brother.

The reality telly star said goodbye to The Only Way Is Essex earlier this year with her exit playing out in Monday night's show on ITVBe.

"I said goodbye to The Only Way Is Essex. It is really sad, I feel really emotional today," Danielle said in a video on the official TOWIE Twitter account.

Danielle's TOWIE exit followed rumours she was set to join the CBB line up.

"Danielle has a big personality and would be a great asset to the house," a source said previously. “She’s looking to branch out now her Towie days are over and sees CBB as a great way to do this."

The insider added: “Her fellow Towie stars have managed to get their own shows out their stint in the house – she wants to do likewise.”

However, The Sun newspaper claims that she has now been DROPPED by show bosses.

A source told the tabloid: “Danielle had been in talks with Celebrity Big Brother bosses until the final hour when she found out she hadn’t made the cut.

“She left Towie thinking she was going straight into the house, but it wasn’t to be.

“It would have been an amazing platform for her and she’s understandably gutted by the snub.”

Danielle isn't the only celeb to have been turned down by show bosses.

Latest CBB winner Stephen Bear was quickly rumoured for the new series but spoken out this week to declare he WON'T be taking part.

According to Bear's own admission, he just wasn't 'cool enough'.

He tweeted fans: "I can officially say I'm not doing CBB in Jan . I wasn't cool enough 😂"

Channel 5 this month announced that the new series will see a mix of former Celebrity Big Brother housemates as well as new faces.
