Celebrity Big Brother named top trending show of 2016 (sort of)

Celebrity Big Brother has been named as the top trending show of 2016.

Twitter UK has released stats show the most talked about programmes of the year... sort of.

Although Twitter has dubbed the list 'the top trending TV shows of 2016', the data only goes up to the start of November.

So shows like The X Factor and Strictly, which are still on the air, are at a bit of a disadvantage.

And I'm A Celebrity hadn't even started at the time the list was compiled.

But still, of the data that WAS analyzed, Celebrity Big Brother came out on top.

Although not too much of a surprise, given how there are two series each year airing every night, the show still did well to beat the final ever Great British Bake Off on BBC One.

And Celebrity Big Brother also triumphed over its summer reality TV rival Love Island.

The X Factor (which, as per above, is still on the air) ranks in 4th with Eurovision in 5th.

Game Of Thrones is at Number six with the BBC's Question Time, Sky Sports News HQ, Prime Minister's Questions and the 2016 Brit Awards completing the top 10.
