It's fair to say that the Daily Star isn't exactly known for its quality journalism or accurate news reports, but a story today once again linking Cheryl Cole to Big Brother really took the biscuit for us. Despite the singers PR company twice rubbishing the original report yesterday, the paper was still keen to push the idea today.
The tabloid had originally claimed that Cheryl was being offered £5 million to host the show this year, although these reports were quickly laughed off by her management team. In a second statement, the Girls Aloud star's people said: “Cheryl has not been approached, and she has no interest in presenting Big Brother."
Despite this however, according today's edition of the Daily Star, Cheryl has "fuelled rumours" that she'll be hosting the "reality megahit" Big Brother - by saying how she won't get rid of her Geordie accent to make in the states. The paper claims that Cheryl's love of things British is her "biggest hint yet" that'll she deflect from The X Factor to Big Brother.
If it wasn't for the source we'd actually think this was just an April Fools joke, but it seems as though the paper is entirely serious with its report...
