Celebrity Big Brother 2016: Marnie Simpson insists she’s not a bully

Marnie Simpson has insisted she’s not a bully following the Celebrity Big Brother final.

This summer's CBB saw a major bust up between Saira and some of the housemates, leading to the Loose Women star lock horns with Marnie before sobbing in the Diary Room.

Saira cried to Big Brother during her stay: “I’m so out of my comfort zone with some of these people.

"I did not think Big Brother would make me crack after three days. I’m trying to get to know people and no one has even bothered getting to know me. I really do not like Bear, I do not like his behaviour... I do think he is an aggressive, violent person.”

Afterwards in the smoking area, Marnie was dared to wind up Saira further and ended up flashing her boobs in her face, causing outrage from viewers.

Many claimed the actions of the Geordie Shore star and the guys were close to bullying.

On Twitter, @LeanneWicksted wrote at the time: "Tonight's #CBB reminded me of a school bully. Absolute filth what that Marnie did to @IamSairaKhan and the silly little boys who are they."

@NickNarkis agreed: "As a huge Geordie Shore fan I'm SO disappointed in Marnie. Just reminded me of a school bully."

Marnie's Geordie Shore co-star Charlotte Crosby even commented: "Aw Marns wish you hadn't done that."

Chatting on ITV’s This Morning today following Friday's final, Marnie gave her side of the story.

She said of the ‘bully’ accusations: “It’s completely not true, that’s the last thing I would want to do is to offend anyone.”

“It was supposed to be like a harmless joke,” Marnie explained.

She added: “To lighten the mood, cause there was a lot of tension in there.”

Meanwhile, on her romance with Lewis Bloor, Marnie revealed the pair had gone on their first official ‘date night’ since leaving the house.

“It was worth the wait,” she teased.

Celebrity Big Brother returns to Channel 5 in the new year.
