Brian Belo says Big Brother housemates need more after care

Brian Belo has hit out at Big Brother bosses for not providing enough after care for housemates.

Brian has appeared twice on BBUK over the years, first during the Channel 4 era in 2007 and then in 2015 as part of a Timebomb twist on Channel 5.

He rejoined the house as a ‘legendary’ housemate alongside Nikki Grahame and Helen Wood.

But like many of BB's comebacks it didn’t go to plan and Brian ended up leaving after a number of nasty clashes with Helen.

Brian revealed to The Sun newspaper that he's experienced the "hardest year of my life" since leaving the house last summer.

“Everyone I’ve spoken to on the show has had issues with anxiety when leaving," he explained. “My issue is I don’t think we get good care after we leave – I’ve done it twice now – and after being called a murder and rapist, how am I meant to go down the supermarket?

“We need to be properly looked after. I’ve been massively effected since. It’s been the hardest year of my life.”

He went on to say: “You can chat to one therapist initially after leaving, but then you are on your own.

“I don’t want in another 10 years’ time another bunch of teenagers to go through what we went through.

“People are having anxiety and panic attacks. All BB housemates suffer from panic attacks and this is something that needs dealing with.”

Celebrity Big Brother and Big Brother both return to Channel 5 next year.
