Celebrity Big Brother 2016: Bear and Ricky Norwood are the current favourites

Stephen Bear and Ricky Norwood remain the current favourites to win Celebrity Big Brother 2016.

However they may have competition after the surprise results of last Friday night's eviction vote.

As Ricky and Stephen continue their battle at the head of the betting for Celebrity Big Brother favouritism, there is a dark horse brewing in the form of an unlikely housemate.

James Whale received the most public votes to save him from eviction on Friday night and quickly saw his odds slashed in half to 10/1 from 20/1. The support for James to win continues to grow and he has shortened yet again seeing him currently priced at 7/1.

Ricky continues to top the betting at 5/2, but is closely followed by controversial and eternally nominated housemate Bear at 7/2. Frankie Grande also remains a contender for the Celebrity Big Brother crown at 5/1 with Samantha Fox next in the betting at 13/2.

Heavy D has had a tumultuous time in the house and the betting. Having entered on launch night at outsider odds of 50/1, the Storage Hunters UK star quickly found support and was cut into 10/1. That support began to dwindle resulting in Heavy D being eased out to 33/1, but once again returned as a 10/1 shot to win. At present punters neither love nor hate Heavy D as he stands at 16/1 to win following a drift form 12/1.

Aoife Heffron from BoyleSports commented this afternoon: “James Whale entered the Celebrity Big Brother house begging to be the first housemate to get the boot, but it seems he is set for the long-haul after he received the most votes to be saved on Friday. Punters are starting to get behind him to win and he has made a dramatic bid for the title shortening into 7/1 from 20/1 in two days.”

She added: “Heavy D has been on a roller-coaster in the Outright betting, having been an outsider to a potential winner, to his current stance as a 16/1 shot. Despite his turbulent time in the betting, he continues to pose a large liability for BoyleSports which could suggest a return to the top half of the betting is brewing.”
