Christopher Biggins has spoken out about his exit from Celebrity Big Brother on Friday night.
In last night's show, we saw Biggins get the boot for making 'numerous offensive comments', including remarks about bisexuals and a 'joke' about Nazi gas chambers.
As a result, Big Brother told Biggins he would be removed immediately and had to leave there and then via the Diary Room door.
Biggins told Big Brother in response: "I am very sorry and I am very sad."
In an interview with The Sun on Sunday newspaper today, Biggins recalled his clash with Katie which was NOT shown to viewers.
After his remark to the Jewish housemate, Biggins says he was given a formal warning.
“That was the first time I had ever been taken into the diary room to be given a formal warning. I said I was terribly sorry," he explained.
Biggins insisted that he immediately cleared the air with Katie: “We were really good friends and there was no animosity, we’d cleared the air days before.
“She never raised it again with me. I don’t know if she even raised it with anyone.”
He went on to suggest: “I think Channel 5 were trying to protect me by not screening it.
“I think it’s unfortunate that someone has decided to leak the story. Then they had to do something."
When he was called to the Diary Room on Friday and kicked out, Biggins first thought it was "a joke or trick."
"They told me to exit by the left-hand door so I thought maybe my partner was going to be there as a surprise," he said. "But in fact there was a casting director, a producer and somebody I didn’t know.
“They said: ‘We’re so sorry, this is terrible, we believe in you.’
“I wasn’t really taking it in. I walked in my underwear out of the house and was just in disbelief. I didn’t get to say goodbye to anyone. I was so stunned and so shocked.”
Celebrity Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.
