Celebrity Big Brother 2016 housemates say Biggins' removal is "not right"

Celebrity Big Brother 2016

Christopher Biggins is removed from the Celebrity Big Brother 2016 house tonight but some of the group disagree with the decision.

In this evening's episode, Biggins is first seen talking to Grant in the garden.

Grant says: “I’ve just become really analytical of my actions and my words”

Biggins replies: “I’ve made three mistakes in here so I’ve been chastised so I’ve become very aware and careful…of course the thing is as you relax it gets worse cause you think you’re at home”

Later, Big Brother gathers the Housemates at the sofas and informs them that Biggins has been removed from the Big Brother House and will not be returning.

Ricky and James pack Biggins’s case and Sam cries.

Sam sobs: “I can’t believe it, I’m upset”

Ricky declares: “This is not right”

More details about Biggins' removal will be in tonight's show on Channel 5 at 10:30PM.

A statement from Channel 5 said last night: “Big Brother has taken the decision to remove Christopher Biggins from the Celebrity Big Brother house.

"Since entering Big Brother, he has made a number of comments capable of causing great offence to housemates and the viewing public."

They added: "Big Brother does not tolerate offensive language capable of causing widespread offence. Christopher Biggins has left the house.”

Following Biggins' departure yesterday evening, his agent Jonathan Shalit defended the "wonderful man" in a statement: "I've been close friends and worked with Biggins for many years and can confirm that he would never intentionally cause offence.

"If something was said in jest which caused offence then I am certain that was not his intention.

"Biggins is a much loved and wonderful man."

Celebrity Big Brother airs nightly on Channel 5.
