Host Emma Willis has DENIED that Big Brother 2016 has been cut short.
This year's series ends tonight after 50 days making it the shortest BBUK series ever by two weeks, and more than three weeks shorter than the longest run on Channel 5.
However Emma says that the short run was always the plan and denied the show had been reduced half-way through the series.
"It's finale night! We made it, 50 days," Emma declared in her latest video diary on the Channel 5 website this evening. "Let's clear this up, loads of people on social media are saying 'Oh my God, they're cutting the series short.'
"We have not cut the series short! The series was never meant to be any longer than this, this is what it was scheduled for.
"That's that cleared up, this is how long we were meant to be on air."
Emma went on to praise the "thoroughly deserving" final six housemates, one of which will be crowned champion in tonight's live show.
"All of them have had a major role in the series and none of them, I don't think, are unlikeable," Emma said.
She continued: "They are all main characters in the series and had a right old adventure. I would be happy to see any of these six to walk away the winner."
Big Brother 2016 airs live tonight from 9PM on Channel 5.
