Big Brother 2016 winner: Hughie Maughan still favourite but Andy West poses a threat

Big Brother 2016

Hughie Maughan remains the strong favourite to win Big Brother 2016 just days before the final.

We've now got 8 finalists confirmed as we race towards Tuesday's live show where the winner be crowned.

Hughie remains the red hot favourite to win and has even shortened further as he now lies at 1/3 from 4/5.

Andy West is his only real threat, but after being eased out to 9/2 from 7/2 it isn’t anything the Irish traveller should lose sleep about. Jason Burrill is a middle of the road 6/1 to cause another shock of the season and win.

The rest of the group look unlikely to bother the top spot and are at risk from leaving before the final in Sunday's double eviction.

Voting lines will close tomorrow and the bottom two housemates with the fewest votes will leave via the back door in one very cruel last twist.

Evelyn Ellis and Sam Giffen are both massive 50/1 outsiders to win and therefore look the most likely to go.

Jackson Blyton and Jayne Connery are also in danger of making an early exit at 16/1 apiece. Also priced at 16/1 is Alex Cannon, the one time long running favourite.

Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports, said: “As far as the final goes, Hughie continues to shorten and it should be smooth sailing to the end for the Dubliner as the rest pose little to no competition in the betting.

"Punters haven’t been keen on veering from Hughie in the betting which sees him hold the biggest liability, meaning it will be bitter sweet to see the Irishman win for us here at BoyleSports.”
