Jason Burrill's odds of winning Big Brother have been cut despite his controversial choice to evict Lateysha Grace in annihilation week.

Jason secured his place as the most unpopular housemate within the house this week after he chose to evict the popular Valleys star Lateysha and swipe £20K from the prize fund.

However his daring decision has gone down a treat with punters, who have been backing him ever since, resulting in him shortening into 5/1 from 8/1, placing him within the top four in the betting.

It's currently Dubliner Hughie who is the firm favourite to poach the Big Brother title after a hoard of bets came in on Friday, forcing bookies BoyleSports to slash him into 6/4 from 5/2 to win.

Having previously shared favouritism with Jackson, Hughie is now the one to beat and will be hard to catch as Jackson drifts out to 11/4.

Alex remains a contender for the title at 9/2, but his support has dried up of late suggesting that his time at the helm of the betting could be over very soon.

Aoife Heffron from BoyleSports said: “Hughie is back to his argumentative screaming ways, but it seems we wouldn’t want him any other way as we have been once again inundated with bets for the Irishman to take the crown."

She added: “Big Brother is a game and although the housemates hate ‘game players’ the public revel in them stirring the pot. This is exactly what Jason did when he chose to take £20K and evict the then favourite to win Lateysha.

"Punters have commended his ballsy move by backing him to win and he has moved up the ranks in the betting as a result.”
