Alex Cannon and Jackson Blyton have pinched £10k of the Big Brother 2016 prize fund in a new twist.

Less than 24 hours after Jason Burrill decided to steal £20k of the prize pot for himself - and evict Lateysha Grace in the process - a further £10k was up for grabs from the original £100k total.

And each of the remaining ten housemates had a chance to take a share.

Big Brother begun by calling one housemate to the Diary Room. Ryan raced and there and was asked by Big Brother if they wanted to live 'rich' or 'poor'.

Living rich would see a housemates take £5,000 of the prize fund for themselves and enjoy living like a king, with luxury food, drinks and treats.

If however they pick to live poor, they'd not only miss out on the cash but also live like a pauper in the house without even hot water or bedding.

Once a housemate had made their own decision, they had to tell Big Brother who should be the next to decide.

HOWEVER that wasn't all as there were only TWO spots in the rich side. Once full, the next person to decide they wanted to live the rich life had to pick someone to oust and take their spot.

Ryan took up residence on the rich side first and reacted: "I'm going to get evicted now aren't I? It's just a trick and I fell for it."

Ryan picked Hughie to make the decision after him, but he chose to live on the poor side. Hughie picked Alex and he chose to live on the rich side. Alex then picked Jason who also chose to live on the rich side.

Jackson therefore had to pick either Alex or Ryan to replace and chose Ryan, who moved over to the poor side.

Once all was said and done, Alex and Jackson were left on the rich side and will enjoy living a life of luxury and £5,000 of the prize money each.

The rest of the housemates will now live poor.

Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.
