Big Brother 2016 will end later this month, it has been confirmed, making the show the shortest ever series.
Host Emma Willis broke the news about the shorter run of this summer's series in her latest video diary on the official Channel 5 website.
Emma said ahead of yesterday's eviction show: "It is eviction day, it's eviction number 3 and there are only three and a half weeks left of the series, what are we going to do with them all?"
Channel 5 have since confirmed to us that the series will conclude later this month, although no exact final date has been announced just yet.
The news means that the series will last at most 54 days, 10 days fewer than the next shortest series back in 2003 on Channel 4 and almost three weeks shorter than the longest run since the move to Channel 5.
As Emma mentioned in her video blog, we've still got a LOT of housemates and not much time to get rid of them.
With 14 remaining and just three scheduled evictions between now and the final it seems we'll be saying goodbye to a lot of housemates very quickly.
A twist has already been revealed with a massive 'eviction massacre' planned for Friday, July 15, which is part of a new 'annihilation' themed week.
Meanwhile it remains to be seen what impact, if any, the shorter series will have on Celebrity Big Brother which was scheduled to begin just after Big Brother.
It's not clear if this will now be brought forward or if there will be a longer gap between the two shows.
There are also rumours that CBB could be made longer to compensate, although this has not been confirmed.
For now, BB continues tonight at 10PM on Channel 5.
