The 2016 summer series of Big Brother on Channel 5 enjoyed its highest rating since 2013.
The latest run, which was the shortest ever series of Big Brother at 50 days, averaged a total audience of 1.6 million viewers, according to official consolidated figures.
The final was watched by 1.8 million viewers, down just 60,000 on the launch night back in June with ratings generally staying stable throughout the run.
The average audience was up 300,000 viewers on 2015's series and up slightly on 2014's figure.
While it was down on 2013's show - the highest ever rated on Channel 5 to date- it was in line with 2012 and up on the first Channel 5 show in 2011.
Celebrity Big Brother is also currently proving to be slightly up in the ratings, as the show bucks its downwards trend over recent years.
Despite facing the Olympics, the first episodes of Celebrity Big Brother have averaged 2.3 million viewers based on official consolidated numbers, up around 300,000 on 2015's summer CBB average.
Celebrity Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5 with the final set for Friday, August 26.
