The Big Brother 2016 start date will be in June this year with show beginning around a month later than last year.
Last year saw Big Brother's earliest ever start with the show running from 12 May, but this year it's set to return to its usual time slot between June and August.
No exact launch date for Big Brother 2016 has been announced yet - and won't be for a few more weeks at least - and it's all down to work on the new house.
As we've been posting about over the last few months, BBUK is set to undergo a MAJOR overhaul this year with the biggest changes to the show in its 15 year history.
A brand new, two story house extension is currently being constructed which will provide lots of room of the new housemates.
The existing house is also undergoing a major makeover, while work is progressing on a brand new staging area outdoors and eviction studio for host Emma Willis as well.
Fortunately the great weather has helped workers and a launch in the first two weeks of June looks to be possible.
Bit On The Side's Rylan Clark teased recently that the house wasn't the only thing being revamped on Big Brother this year.
"It’s all change at Big Brother so it’ll be like starting a new job," he said. "We’ve been ready for a while for that, and I think the public have been ready for that, so I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s reactions on launch night."
He teased cryptically: "This year, expect something very different.”
Big Brother is set to air until around August time with Celebrity Big Brother following.
It was reported earlier this year that there will no longer be a break between Big Brother and the summer series of Celebrity Big Brother with the two shows airing pretty much back to back.
There will probably be a few days grace between the two, but not the six weeks that we saw in 2015.
