Big Brother UK icon Nikki Grahame has lost out on her bid to win the Canadian version of the show, with her fellow housemates voting to evict her just two weeks before the final.

Nikki joined the fourth season of Big Brother Canada one week in as part of a twist that gave viewers the chance to vote two BB legends from around the world in to the house.

However, it features a far more competitive and strategic format than BBUK, with no public voting for evictions - and having flown under the radar for eight weeks, the other housemates finally turned on Nikki during a double eviction this week.

The 'Heads of Household', Nick and Phil - a pair of brothers competing as one - nominated her against the other international housemate, Big Brother Australia winner Tim Dormer.

A 'Power of Veto' then saved Tim, and in what would have been an unprecedented move, Nick and Phil said they wanted to put themselves up in his place. However, they eventually backed out and chose Nikki's ally Joel as the replacement nominee.

Moments later, Nikki was evicted by a 3-0 vote - with the devastating result occurring on what was her 34th birthday.

Having won over the Canadian public with her antics - which included one of her trademark Diary Room tantrums when she was made to eat 'slop' - she walked out to a standing ovation from the studio audience, with some even shouting: "We love you!"

The pint-sized princess laughed at Nick and Phil's self-nomination plan - "They had no intention! Not for one minute!" - and backed "loyal" and "deserving" Joel as her winner.

Presenter Arisa Cox praised Nikki, telling her: "You have been so incredibly entertaining, we’ve loved having you. You are nothing if not a wildcard!"

Despite her exit, Nikki will remain on the show until it concludes, as housemates that leave in the latter weeks form the 'Jury' that will decide the winner during the grand final.

BBCAN4 is the fourth Big Brother that Nikki has participated in, after her three stints on BBUK. She shot to fame in its seventh series, finished as the runner-up on Ultimate Big Brother, and spent two weeks in last year's 'Timebomb' as a special guest.
