Tiffany Pollard has reacted to the sad passing of David Gest after pulling 'David is Dead' T-shirts from sale.
David Gest was revealed to have died in a London hotel yesterday ahead of a tour in the UK this summer.
A friend said in a statement: "It is with great sadness that I can confirm that David Gest has died today.
"David was truly larger than life. He was not just a huge talent and a dear friend but a showbiz icon."
David and Tiffany were the focus of one of Celebrity Big Brother's most memorable moments back in January after a mix up when David Bowie's death was announced to the house by his former wife Angie Bowie.
It prompted a huge reaction at the time and even after the show with Tiffany releasing 'David is Dead' t-shirts on her online store, while David himself had named his tour 'Not Dead But Alive'.
Needless to say, the sad and sudden news of David's death yesterday instantly saw those things come across quite differently.
Tiffany's management were quick to remove the clothing from sale, tweeting: "Just to confirm @TiffanyPollard is not yet aware of the passing of David Gest. But as her management we have decided to remove certain T-shirts from her range."
They added: "We also send all our love to David's family at this difficult time!"
Last night, Tiffany joined her fellow former Celebrity Big Brother housemates in paying tribute to David.
"I’m so sad to hear about the passing of #DavidGest. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.. #RIP," she wrote online.
