A woman who spent two years in a Peruvian jail for drug smuggling has been tipped to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.
'Drug mule' Michaella McCollum was released from prison in South America last week after she and a friend were sentenced back in 2013.
Following her return to the UK, Michaella has appeared on TV to talk about the experience.
"I made a decision in a moment of madness. I'm not a bad person. I want to demonstrate that I'm a good person," she told Irish channel RTE One.
Speaking after being released early into her six year sentence, Michaella added: “I’ve forgotten the things that everybody takes for granted in life.
"Seeing the sun, seeing the darkness, seeing the moon and the stars, things I haven't seen in almost three years."
Now bookmakers are suggesting that the controversial character could end up in Celebrity Big Brother following an 'X Factor makeover'.
Paddy Power spokesman Féilim Mac An Iomaire said: “Michaella has gone from slammer to glamour following her release and we very much doubt that we’ve seen the last of her on our screens.”
We'd like to think that there's a lot more deserving people out there, but this is one rumour we wouldn't be shocked to see come true.
The new series of Celebrity Big Brother will air on Channel 5 this summer.
