Cami hinted at trouble with her father but he says they were on great terms before she entered the house this month.
Cami’s dad Michael Figueras admitted to The Sun newspaper today: "I am very surprised [by her comments]. We sometimes have our ups and downs but things had been great between us.
“We do a lot together, go on trips. She bought me my cat Buster and I bought her a car recently. She even took me out for dinner on my birthday."
He added: “Maybe she said it for drama and ratings but it would be nice if she did not drag me through the mud.
"I will talk to her when she gets out but blood is blood and I will always love her.”
The 71-year-old went on to reveal how Cami was left "devastated" by her split from TOWIE's Kirk Norcross in 2013.
“She was very much in love at one point," he told the paper (paid link). "All the family even went over to England for the engagement party. But things did not work. She was really hurt by it all, but she is a tough girl.”
Michael added: “I think she can go on to win Big Brother. She has always wanted to be a star and that’s what she is.”
Celebrity Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.
