Emma Willis has seemingly confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother UK will be returning in the new year.
As it stands however there's still been no official word on the status of Channel 5's Big Brother contract with programme makers Endemol.
The current deal expires after the current series of CBB, which ends on Friday night.
However on last night's Bit On The Side, Emma said that the show would be back - as ever - in January for another run.
And with Big Brother 2015 auditions already open, it looks almost certain that both formats of the show will continue.
Emma's comment follows confirmation today that Channel 5 has been bought by Viacom, who own the likes of MTV and Comedy Central, for £450 million.
The deal had originally been announced back in May but only today was it completed after the European Commission cleared the purchase.
Viacom President and CEO Philippe Dauman did not talk about exact plans for the channel or its shows, but said: "We are committed to strengthening Channel 5's status as one of UK broadcasting's premier brands, and we will continue to grow the network's pipeline of original programming with more quality commissions, as well as acquisitions."
It had been rumoured that ITV were keen to take over BB to air on ITV2, although it was ruled out for being 'too expensive' for the channel.
