Big Brother 2014: Helen Wood's odds of winning tumble

Big Brother Summer 2014

The odds of Helen Wood winning Big Brother 2014 have been cut dramatically this week.

The Bolton lass has been a certain to make the final since receiving immunity from every eviction on Day 1, a controversial twist which still riles many viewers.

Although in hindsight, without that pass to the final, it'd have left us with just the one female housemate for the last three weeks of the series.

Helen is seemingly being hyped up for the win both inside and outside the house, with talks of 'journeys' that we know reality telly shows love.

And the downfall of previous favourites such as Mark Byron has only helped her cause.

With just eight housemates left, bookmakers have made Helen one of the top tips of the remaining group.

And one punter who bet £1,000 on her at odds of 25-1 stands to rake in £25,000 if she does top the final public vote at the end of the series.

Ladbrokes spokeswoman Jessica Bridge said: “There has been a real swing in Helen’s favour over the last few days.

“At one point she was so unpopular it looked like she would need a miracle to win. But maybe miracles do happen.”
