The new Big Brother Power housemates have explained their choice to nominate Christopher Hall for eviction.
Last night we saw the start of a new Power housemate reign as Toya A Washington began her Power trip.
In the live eviction show, Big Brother revealed that Toya would not be alone in her power trip as she was instructed to to pick another Housemate as the other half of the ‘Power Couple’ partnership and she picked Matthew.
In the second half of the twist, Big Brother gave the pair 30 seconds to jointly nominate a housemate for eviction and after much discussion, the pair nominated Christopher to face eviction next week.
Toya quickly confronted Chris to explain her reasons: "I need to get it off my chest. I don't want you think its personal because it's not."
Christopher insisted he was fine and told her to leave it but Toya insisted: "The reason why I said you is because in the long term I don't know if it's good for you to be in there and that's the God's honest truth."
She continued: "I'm not looking for a row, I just want to explain it to you, that is it all."
Christopher replied: "It's absolutely fine, I can handle myself. You had a decision to make. I've always said I wanted the Power housemate to be people who make decisions.
"Congratulations on making a decision that other people would've ave. I have no problem with you I Just want to chill out now without talking about it."
But not talking about it was the opposite of what Toya had in mind as she rambled on: "I don't want to see you lose yourself.
"I remember when I first met you and that happiness and joy, I feel you're losing it.
"I can't help but feel there's certain characters in this house... that you'll lose yourself in here. I think you'll walk out of here ****** off or even upset with yourself."
Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.
