Celebrity Big Brother 2014: White Dee 'too depressed' to enter

White Dee

White Dee may be ruled out Celebrity Big Brother 2014 on health grounds.

The Benefit Streets 'star' has reportedly been offered £60,000 to appear on the latest Channel 5 series this summer.

Her agent (yes, she has an agent now!) Barry Tines today confirmed that there were talks with show bosses but revealed it would be up to doctors to OK her participation.

If Dee - real name Deirdre Kelly - accepts any of her various offers for work it will of course meaning ditching the benefits that have made her famous.

“Obviously if a time comes when she accepts an offer and she is well enough she will come off benefits while she is earning money," her agent said. "She has been offered big money from around the world."

Speaking to the Daily Star, Dee's agent explained: "It is well documented that she has been offered a place on Big Brother this year and we are still in negotiations with that.

“She has also been offered TV work in Japan and France. But Deirdre is unwell.

“She suffers from depression and is being monitored by the doctor. Whether she accepts any of these offers will depend on her health."

Other names linked to Celebrity Big Brother this year have included Helen Flanagan and the daughter of late comic Les Dawson, Charlotte.
