The reality star was twice removed from the house in order to attend hospital after being sick.
Writing in her OK! magazine column this week, Sam said: “I’ve been ill for six weeks. I’m better than I was but I’m still not 100% and I’m still having tests done.”
She added: “I was a good size eight before the show but over the course of two weeks in the house I lost a stone and a half because I just couldn’t keep food down. It was horrible.”
Earlier this month Sam admitted she had cancer fears but doctors have now diagnosed the 23-year-old with Crohn's disease.
It's a long-term illness which effects the bowel and could require Sam to undergo surgery.

“She is suffering from lots of ulcers, so she needs to give them time to heal before she looks at the long term effects of diagnosis," a source told the Daily Mirror newspaper today. “At the moment, she is just trying to cope with the excruciating stomach cramps. That has been the most difficult thing. Now, she is working with her gastroenterologist to see if she can work around her illness.
“Sam won’t let things hold her back, she’s dealing with it in the best way she can. She knows she can’t change anything, but she can educate herself about the disease.”
A spokeswoman for Sam added to the tabloid: “I can confirm Sam has very recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease.”
