Gina Rio has been dubbed a "shoo-in" to win Big Brother 2013 on Monday.

That's at least if Twitter is to be believed.

Last night saw Sophie Lawrence become the latest housemate to leave in the Big Brother 2013 results, booted out ahead of Charlie Travers, Sam Evans and twins Jack and Joe.

According to Virgin Media's The Hotlist, which tracks social media trends, Gina is the faovurite to win the series on Monday.

The sassy socialite has nearly 75,000 mentions on social media, the most of all the remaining contestants.

Despite this, Gina nearly destroyed her chance to claim the win when she attacked fellow contestant Charlie during evictions last week. Prior to teaming up with hated Hazel, she received the largest volume of positive social media comments in the house, but it remains to be seen whether the public will forgive her for ganging up on Charlie.

Meanwhile, meek and mild underdog Sam Evans has the highest positive reaction on social media out of all of the remaining contestants, with over 8% of comments being positive. More people have mentioned his name and the word 'win' on social media than any other housemate, making him the second favourite to take the Big Brother crown.

Big Brother was one of the most talked about programmes on social media in July, according to Virgin Media’s The Hotlist. The most popular episode generated nearly two and a half million mentions on social media, making it the most popular reality TV programme on Twitter and Facebook after Geordie Shore and The Apprentice.
